Greetings all! It's been a while since I've posted an update here, and with good reason.

I was Busy.

The busy-ness has come in many forms, but one of the bigger ones is called dissertation, or to some of my US friends, this is also known as a 'thesis'. For mine, I have decided to explore new video game genres instead of merging old ones together like what you mostly see on the market. Therefore, I have gone through the whole R&D and software engineering process to create what I have.

Yes. It's getting very far now.

I'll be adding some more screenshots within the next day of the progress made so far in the game. In summary:

-The 'collisions' are done by using OpenGL's pickMatrix() function.
-Textures are further fixed after all the 'tearing' that it was doing. It seems like my texture loading technique only likes sizes which are multiples of 2
-There are particle explosions. Yes :)

Currently, anti aliasing and GL_BLEND is disabled in many places to try and hunt down an issue which is making the entire game blend with the black space stars texture on the skybox. I'm certain this will also be fixed by the end of tomorrow.
